Next up on the home reveal: the bathrooms!

First is the main bathroom, which is located off of the open-plan living room and kitchen, just down the hall from our master bedroom. The wall color in this room is a deep terracotta orange that we really like!

What I LOVE in this space: the architectural arch above the shower; the wall color; the finishes (especially the countertop and the color of the hardware, like the faucet, toilet paper holder and towel bars!); the curved shower rod.

What we would LOVE to change in this space (someday):

– spackle + touch-up paint in some areas where the previous owners hung decor items

– eventually replace white waffle weave shower curtain in upstairs bathroom with a ceiling height curtain in the same style (our current curtain is long enough to prevent the water from pooling out of the tub when we shower, but isn’t attractive visually)

– purchase new bath towels, hand towels, rugs

– add art

– remove builder-grade mirror in upstairs bathroom and hang a heavy black mirror that we own {horizontally} in its place (we plan to do this when Jordan’s father and brother drywall our laundry room, just in case we come across any patching that needs to be done after we remove the mirror)

– eventually replace tub in upstairs bathroom with a claw-foot/free-standing tub

– bring in a vintage dresser to utilize as a vanity

– install sinks with character (i’d love double sinks in here!)

– install porcelain tile flooring in a neutral tone (grey? white?)

– install new lighting {a dramatic chandelier over the sink? pot lights above the tub/shower?}

And now, the downstairs bathroom:

– install a sink with character (i’d love a white basin sink down here)

– install porcelain tile flooring in a neutral tone (grey? white?)

– install new lighting {a dramatic chandelier over the sink? pot lights above the tub/shower?}

– install a tiled, walk-in shower (grey penny tile?)

What fun! Up next: the master bedroom!

She loves watching guilty-pleasure television, writing about motherhood, decorating her first home, sipping red wine with her husband Jordan, and chasing after her sons.

    ohmigosh, these are gorgeous as-is! Your touches will add character, but I can see why you guys fell in love with this house, everything is updated and looks really nice!
    I’m intrigued to see the upstairs bathroom mirror project – we have a boring mirror like that too and lazily considered doing something to it but we’re pretty sure there’s glue all over the back of ours and we don’t have any of that wall paint lying around…so we’re living with it for now :)
